Fishing Seaon
On
Loch Awe you can fish for Brown Trout, Rainbow Trout, Char,
Perch and Pike. The season for all species except Pike is from
15th March until 6th October. Pike is all year round.
The
best Trout fishing is to be found from March until the middle
of May. Any Brown Trout under 8" must be returned to the
water, providing it is not damaged. The best Pike fishing is
to be found from May until October. Forms of bait allowed for
all fish are: fly, spinner, bait or a combination with or without
a bubble float.

There
are now exclusion zones on the shore which are signposted. It
is illegal to fish from the shore at these places. Fishing from
a boat entitles you to fish anywhere on the loch, but not in
